KOTA BHARU: National Entrepreneur Group Economic Fund (Tekun) chairman Mohamad Suparadi Md Noor is relinquishing his post following the setting up of a new government under Perikatan Nasional (PN).

Suparadi, who became chairman in October 2018, said he is resigning because his is a political appointment.

“I will resign to allow the government to name a new chairman. It is a political appointment and I should hand back the post to the new government,” he told reporters after meeting more than 200 Kelantan PKR members here last night.

Suparadi also said it was not true that more than 10,000 Kelantan PKR members would leave the party because of their disappointment over the current political situation.

Based on his discussions with the 14 PKR divisional heads in Kelantan, he said, only 300 to 500 members had left the party.
