PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will drop across the board at midnight for the fifth consecutive week, the finance ministry announced this evening.
Both RON95 and RON97 will drop by eight sen and will retail at RM1.30 per litre and RM1.60 per litre respectively.
The price of diesel will also drop 10 sen and will retail at RM1.58 per litre.
The new rates will be in effect from tomorrow till April 10.
According to the finance ministry, the drop in fuel prices is due to the decline in global crude oil prices following economic uncertainty because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people,” it added.
