Redzuan didn’t call for a press conference, says aide

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Special Functions) Mohd Redzuan Yusof is still undergoing quarantine.

PETALING JAYA: An aide to the minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Special Functions) Mohd Redzuan Yusof has denied that he called for a press conference today.

In a statement, Redzuan’s political secretary said the minister viewed seriously reports that he would have a press conference at the PPBM headquarters.

Earlier today, members of the press were alerted that a press conference, purportedly by Redzuan and Deputy Works Minister Shahruddin Md Salleh, both PPBM Supreme Council members, would be held at 5pm.

This would have been after former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s press conference at the PPBM headquarters.

“This office denies the news reports that have gone viral. There is no press conference called by the minister’s office.

“This is because Datuk Seri Redzuan is still undergoing quarantine.”
