KOTA KINABALU: Sabah PPBM is looking at forming an official working committee with political parties friendly to Perikatan Nasional in the state to better face the next general election.

Its chief Hajiji Noor, who is also Sulaman assemblyman, said talks on the formation of the committee involving PN-friendly parties would be held soon.

“For now, we have only firmed up the machinery at the party level. But we will hold discussions with other parties aligned to PN to form another machinery that will cover all,” he told reporters after chairing a party leaders’ meeting at the Sabah PPBM headquarters here today.

Hajiji believes the existing understanding between Sabah PPBM and other parties such as Umno, PBS, PBRS and STAR, among others, in the state would be the catalyst for victory in the next election.

Earlier, Hajiji received 1,000 application forms to join the party from the Pertubuhan Kinabalu Bersatu Malaysia (PKBM) chairman Adzmi KK Juatan.

The forms are from applicants in Keningau, Pensiangan and Tenom, which are interior divisions.
