PETALING JAYA: Amanah has sacked Ahmad Mustain Othman, the Sabak assemblyman in the Selangor state assembly.
Amanah secretary-general Hatta Ramli said Mustain was sacked as he had breached Clause 21.12 of the party’s constitution.
“This dismissal is in line with Clause 21.8 of Amanah’s constitution which gives the party’s disciplinary board the power to sack any member found to have gone against the discipline and instruction of the party,” he said in a statement today.
Clause 21.12 states that all members are required to comply with the party’s constitution, instruction, regulation and decisions, and to maintain the good name of the party.
It also states that members are required to keep party secrets, and to always be polite and conduct themselves in an orderly manner. They are not allowed to make speeches or public statements, or commit actions or behave in ways which affect the party’s policies and interests.
