KOTA KINABALU: Sabah PPBM today announced that it has identified 45 state seats to be contested in the upcoming election.
Its chairman, Hajiji Noor, said the party will put up capable candidates, who have good credibility and potential to win in their respective seats.
“Sabah PPBM is making preparations for the election and will hold a meeting next week to fine-tune the party machinery in every state constituency.
“We have identified 45 seats which will be contested by PPBM candidates. We will put up competent candidates, with credibility and capability and who can win, to ensure that the seats will go to PPBM,” he said in a statement today.
Hajiji said PPBM is prepared to discuss cooperating with Perikatan Nasional (PN) component parties, Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) in the election.
“This is to gather strength to ensure victory,” he said.
The incumbent Sulaman assemblyman said the party will launch its manifesto before nomination day.
The manifesto, which will offer “best direction” moving forward for Sabahans, will focus on revamping the state‘s economy after the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We are confident that PPBM will be the best alternative that will be accepted by a large number of citizens to lead Sabah,” he added.
