Ipoh: An unemployed man, released from prison just two weeks ago, was arrested on Sunday for allegedly injuring his 7-year-old daughter at his house in Kampung Kroh Hilir, Kuala Kangsar.
Acting district police chief Zahiri Hassan said the man, 37, was said to have become angry with his daughter and had thrown her to the floor, injuring her forehead on the corner of the dining table.
The girl’s mother, 40, took her to a health clinic and then to Kuala Kangsar hospital.
Zahiri said the man fled the scene immediately after the incident but was arrested at his house at about 12pm the next day.
He was remanded for seven days until Monday.
