PETALING JAYA: The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department today saved a crane-driver who was trapped when his 26-tonne machine toppled over at Alam Damai, Cheras.

In a statement today, the Kuala Lumpur operations centre said it received a call this morning and sent personnel from the Cheras and Bandar Tun Razak fire stations to the location.

The victim, a 28-year-old Malaysian, suffered a fracture on his left leg and was sent to the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for treatment.
