PETALING JAYA: The education ministry has reiterated that this year’s UPSR and PT3 examinations have been cancelled, after it discovered a website was promoting these exams online.
In a statement, the ministry said it had already announced the cancellation of both examinations on April 15.
It noted that a website had been promoting online exams which could be taken in September and October.
“The ministry would like to stress that these (online) examinations are not under the purview of the examinations board and have nothing to do with the education ministry.
“The ministry views this seriously as it is a breach of the Education Act 1996.“
It said it has taken action against the parties involved and advised parents to refer to the ministry or the board’s website for information.
