PETALING JAYA: An Indonesian man lost his cool when a friend constantly harassed his wife, even asking her to have sex with him – so he stabbed the friend to death with an oil palm chisel, police said.
Police said the two men had a fight on Monday after the suspect confronted the victim to end his harassment.
According to a Harian Metro report, the dead man’s body was found dumped into a ditch at an oil palm plantation in Lawas, Sarawak yesterday.
Lawas district police chief Roslan Leman said the body of the victim, identified as Imran, 40, was found by a passerby. It was wrapped in canvas.
“Further investigations succeeded in locating and arresting the suspect who is a 32-year-old Indonesian at the Ladang Trusan quarters on Jalan Sundar. He was arrested at 12.10pm on the same day the body was found.
“The suspect admitted to acting alone. He used an oil palm chisel to stab the victim to death, wrapped the body with canvas, carried and then dumped it at the location where it was found,” he said.
Roslan said there were bruises on the victim’s forehead, ears, neck, back of the body and left knee as well as a broken wrist.
“The suspect and the victim were both undocumented migrants. The suspect came to Malaysia about six months ago through the Sindumin rat trail in Lawas with his wife and two children,” he said.
Roslan said the unemployed suspect is currently remanded for investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
