No, I’m not deserting Warisan, says Kunak assemblyman
Norazlinah Arif said rumours of her leaving the party are just slander aimed at provoking Warisan voters.
KUNAK: Kunak assemblyman Norazlinah Arif has denied allegations that she will be leaving Warisan, saying that she had no issues with the party president as reported recently.
She said these allegations were slander aimed at provoking and confusing Warisan voters, especially in her constituency.
“I still support the top leadership led by Warisan president Shafie Apdal. My focus is still on helping the people as I was given this mandate in the last state election. Let me emphasise that I am still an elected representative under Warisan. The allegations that I am leaving are just political propaganda.
“I am confident that my voters and supporters in the Kunak constituency are not affected by this false news,” she said in a statement today.
She emphasised that she was still in the opposition and would continue defending the people and also help Shafie to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Norazlinah also accused Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) of failing to defend the people, including solving the problems of those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“GRS has failed to implement the food basket programme properly because there are still so many who have not received the aid. For this reason, I want to focus on my duties as the people’s representative to help the people in Kunak,” she said.
