They claimed the project had been stalled for four years and had caused a lot of inconvenience to residents.
Taman Melawati Residents Association chairman Azhari Abd Taharim said the roads had become dangerous for motorists and pedestrians alike as a result of earlier digging.
This had resulted in accidents and damage to vehicles, he said in a statement today.
Azhari said the project consultant had begun work in 2018 and had made many promises to complete the work.
“The relevant authorities don’t seem to be serious about resolving this problem,” he said.
Azhari urged the authorities to cover all the potholes and remove all hoardings while waiting for the sewerage work to be completed.
