PETALING JAYA: A man was shot twice by an unknown person while riding his motorcycle in Kota Damansara last night.
Petaling Jaya district police chief Fakhruddin Abdul Hamid said they were informed of the incident at 8.40pm and rushed to the location, only to find the victim’s motorcycle lying on the road.
The victim, in his 40s, is suspected to have skidded on his motorcycle after getting shot. However, he managed to get help from a security guard at a housing area nearby.
“The victim suffered injuries to his left chest and arm and has been brought to the hospital for treatment,” Fakhruddin said in a statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder, which provides a maximum jail term of 20 years, if convicted.
