PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has received 120 complaints via the MyHELP@KKM system in the first two months of this year, but only one was related to bullying, says its minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
She also said no death has been reported among healthcare workers as a result of bullying.
Zaliha said 112 of the complaints received were not related to bullying, but other issues such as service, management, placement, debt and personal matters.
“One complaint related to bullying is still being investigated, and seven have been investigated and were deemed not to be cases of bullying,” she said in a reply in the Dewan Negara today.
She was responding to a question by Jefridin Atan on the number of complaints of workplace bullying that have resulted in the deaths of junior doctors and other healthcare workers.
Zaliha said no deaths were reported among healthcare workers as a result of bullying.
MyHELP@KKM was launched last October as a system for healthcare workers to report bullying and other complaints related to the workplace.
