PETALING JAYA: A 20-year-old man was charged in the Sungai Besar magistrates’ court today with the murder of his pregnant girlfriend.
Fakrul Aiman Sajali, a former university student, is accused of murdering his girlfriend, aged 21, in Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam, last week.
He was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which provides for the death sentence upon conviction.
No plea was recorded after the charge was read out before magistrate Siti Hajar Ali as the case comes under the High Court’s jurisdiction.
The court set Aug 3 for mention.
Selangor prosecution director Ku Hayati Ku Haron prosecuted, while Fakrul was represented by lawyers Khairul Anuar Kashim and Nor Tamrin.
