
PETALING JAYA: A mother of five was found dead in a partially clothed state with slashes on her neck in Lahad Datu, Sabah, this morning.
She also suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
According to Bernama, the body of the 36-year-old victim was found in a banana plantation in Kampung Pisang, Lahad Datu.
She is believed to have been raped and robbed of her belongings.
Lahad Datu police chief Rohan Shah Ahmad said the victim worked as a roti canai maker at a restaurant.
“The victim left her house at 6.15am but did not turn up for work.
“Her employer called the family and they went out to look for her along her usual route to the restaurant. They later found her body in the bushes,” he said.
Rohan said traces of semen were found on the body. A mobile phone and some cash belonging to the victim were also missing.
Police are trying to trace the rapist.
