KUALA LUMPUR: A motion to amend the party’s constitution to strengthen its administration will be tabled at the three-day Bersatu annual general assembly (AGM) from Nov 23, says party vice-president Radzi Jidin.
Radzi, who is also the AGM committee chairman, said the motion was in line with the theme of the assembly – the determination to fight for the spirit of the party, the well-being of the people and the country.
“The amendment is about the administration and operations of the party, more about getting feedback from the grassroots.
“This is something we have discussed for a long time and it will be tabled to get the approval of the general assembly,” he told a media conference at the Perikatan Nasional (PN) headquarters here today.
Radzi said the amendment had nothing to do with party hopping.
He said another motion that would be tabled at the assembly would be related to the Palestinian plight.
Radzi said he expected more than 2,000 delegates to attend the assembly at the Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam.
