21 hurt, 6 seriously, in S’gor state secretary’s office bus crash

PETALING JAYA:
A bus belonging to the Selangor state secretary’s office swerved into a ditch while trying to avoid a motorcycle, resulting in six people being seriously injured and 15 others sustaining minor injuries near Kampung Kelanang, Taman Dawai Banting, Kuala Langat.

Selangor fire and rescue department director Wan Razali Wan Ismail said they received a call about the incident at 1.07pm, according to Sinar Harian.

He said all the 21 passengers were court employees.

“Eleven firefighters from Banting and Telok Panglima Garang fire and rescue stations were dispatched to the scene and arrived at 1.18pm.

“The crash involved a bus belonging to the Selangor state secretary’s office with 21 people on board and a motorcycle,” he said in a statement today, adding that there were 15 women and six men on the bus.

“Two men and four women were seriously injured while the bus driver was trapped in his seat.

He said firefighters needed some time to extricate the driver and that all those injured were sent to local hospitals for treatment.
