PAS mouthpiece Harakah Daily reported that the PAS vice-president and Terengganu menteri besar said he submitted his resignation letter to PN’s management today.

Harakah Daily reported that the resignation, which was informed to PAS’s central leadership in a brief statement, came as a surprise as Samsuri is regarded as one of the key figures in PN component, PAS.

“I wish to inform everyone that I, Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, have submitted my resignation letter as PN treasurer today, Wednesday, 11 December 2024. That is all. Thank you,” he said.

PN has not issued any statement on the matter.

The move comes as the PN Supreme Council confirmed several key appointments in the coalition during its meeting on Monday.

Apart from confirming Azmin Ali’s appointment as the coalition’s secretary-general, PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin also announced the appointment of Mas Ermieyati Samsudin as the Wanita PN chief, reported Bernama.

Hamzah Zainudin was appointed PN deputy chairman, with Radzi Jidin and Ronald Kiandee appointed PN Supreme Council members.

Ahmad Faizal Azumu, meanwhile, was named the PN information chief.
