KUANTAN: Pahang chief coach Dollah Salleh is baffled with his charges when they could not find their rhythm in the 1-1 draw against Sabah in their first group D Malaysia Cup match here last night.

Dollah said the forwards were unable to capitalise on their chances to increase the score.

“Our strikers couldn’t find the net, they only started attacking towards the end of the match,” he said after the game.

Dollah also said their import striker, Austin Amutu, was becoming more effective but he has not hit top form.

“In the match, he succeeded in scoring the goal but in the second half, he seemed to lose direction. I hope he will continue to improve,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sabah coach Jelius @Tabias Ating said he was very happy when the squad managed to wrestle one point in the match.

“Sabah, which fielded mainly young players, have achieved their target as they did not return empty-handed in their encounter with the FA Cup champions,” he said.
