JOHOR BAHRU: Johor Darul Ta’zim Foundation (JDT) is aiming to secure 200,000 members with the rebranding of the JDT prepaid card today.

Chairman Noorazam Osman said currently there are 1,300 members and the annual subscription fee for the card is at a minimum of RM100.

“With the target, we hope to raise funds of RM20 million, 80% of the funds will then be returned to the JDT team, while 20% will be channeled to fans in the form of activities and welfare aid.

“This is our aim because at present, we only have about RM150,000 through the 1,300 members,” he told a press conference after the rebranding of the card to JDT Visa Prepaid Card today.

The launch was officiated by JDT Football Club president, Tunku Aminah Sultan Ibrahim. Also present was her husband Dennis Muhammad Abdullah.

Noorazam said the foundation hoped the people especially supporters of JDT Football Club would assist in achieving the target.

He said the JDT Visa Prepaid Card is a cashless payment instrument which is a value-added e-wallet that enables holders to have special privileges such as enjoying goods and services from about 40 million Visa dealers in Malaysia and overseas.

“The top-up limit is RM10,000 at any one time and the card has many advantages among them the privilege of getting special passes (for JDT matches).

“We also allocate 1,000 seats for members and they are given 10% discount for purchase of Southern Tigers merchandise,” he said.
