KUALA LUMPUR: Harimau Malaya have moved up two spots to No 134 in the latest world rankings issued by Fifa today.
Coach Kim Pan-gon’s side accumulated 1,094.90 points following draws against world No 93 Syria and world No 80 China in two Tier 1 international friendlies earlier this month.
The results saw Harimau Malaya maintain their unbeaten record after six friendlies this year, having won four and drawn two since March.
They will next compete in the Merdeka Football Tournament from Oct 13-17 which will also feature India, Tajikistan and Palestine.
Pan-gon’s men will then take part in the 2026 World Cup/2027 Asian Cup qualifiers in November before playing in the Asian Cup in Qatar in January.
World champions Argentina continue to lead the rankings with France, Brazil, England and Belgium completing the top five.
