EMSC: Magnitude 5.6 earthquake strikes near northern-India

BENGALURU: An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 struck near India’s northern Jammu and Kashmir state on Tuesday, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The earthquake struck 118 km north-west of the city of Srinagar in J&K, the EMSC said on its website.
