Its Corporate Communications head Amin Lin Abdullah, explained the water disruption was necessary to facilitate cleaning operations at the Kalumpang water treatment plant that would be closed from 8:00am to 9:00pm on 12 January.
Amin said this was part of on-going efforts to improve the efficiency of the water treatment system there.
“Consumers are advised to store sufficient water supply for that day,” he said.
Amin assured consumers that every effort would also be undertaken to expedite the cleaning operations for earlier restoration of water supply to the affected areas.
The affected areas include Hulu Selangor, which will experience low water pressure and temporary water interruption, as well as Taman Tempua Bestari and Gumut Tambahan.
