A female teacher has lodged a police report, alleging she was accosted by the father of a student she had once reprimanded.
The victim, Salina Daud, 49, said the incident occurred about 12.20pm at Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Pai Chee, yesterday.
She claimed that the man not only scolded her but threw books and stationery at her when in a fit of anger. He was apparently unhappy because she had reprimanded his son for verbally abusing her earlier this month.
In her report, which is currently circulating on social media, Salina alleged this was not the first time she had been racially discriminated against at the school.
She claimed that the headmaster had previously attempted to get rid of her and two other Malay teachers posted there, saying: “The Chinese community of Pai Chee do not want Malay teachers to teach at the school.”
“The headmaster had also met with the PPD (District Education Centre) and requested the three of us be removed from SJKC Pai Chee, as Malay teachers cannot teach and refuse to cooperate.
“I am making this report because we (Salina and the two others mentioned) no longer feel safe at SJKC Pai Chee.”
