They were Fatin Iqmal Idziyani Che Aziz of Kuala Lumpur, and Hana’ Azhar and Al Najiatun Nailah Mohd Safie of Kelantan, according to Kelantan Undergraduates Union in Jordan.

The union said the names had been confirmed by the government hospital in Jordan.

Two Malaysian students who survived the accident were Izzam Hasif, from Negeri Sembilan, who was injured in the leg and fractured his hand, and Fatin Noor Syahirah, from Kelantan, who sustained face and jaw injuries.

The Education Malaysia Jordan portal said the five were students of Jordan’s Mu’tah University and were on their way to Mafraq for an outreach programme.

A Jordanian citizen was also reported to be in the car.

The accident was reported to have taken place in Ashrafiyeh, Mafraq province.
