This after the Tourism and Culture minister said he would suggest to the party’s Supreme Council to suspend Muhyiddin Yassin as Umno deputy president if the latter refused to stop his attacks on Najib.
In slamming Nazri’s call, GKCM, in a statement, also claimed the Padang Rengas lawmaker did not want to be “last in line” when it came to licking the boots of the Umno president.
The anti-Najib group also described Nazri as a ‘pest’ in Umno, as his intentions were for personal gain, rather than to help develop the party.
“If we study the history of the Roman Empire, its downfall was because of corruption. Nazri’s actions are similar to that of Rome, bootlicking to achieve personal gain.”
The group also described Nazri as a “weak” minister in the Cabinet.
“There is nothing great about Nazri as a minister aside from bragging and making sure his children live in luxury. As a minister in Umno, Nazri does not have any privileges.”
GKCM added that they were tired of seeing leaders like Nazri who tried to make others look like fools if it meant they could gain something from it later.
Yesterday, Nazri was reported to have said that Muhyiddin was misbehaving and that Umno could not afford to “go on like this.”
Muhyiddin had earlier challenged Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor to take action against him for criticising the party’s leadership.
