“I personally know of the offers which have been made to you by a special someone. Offers to buy your silence. The fact that you resisted amazes me,” Syed wrote in a Facebook posting today, directing the message at Muhyiddin.
He said while some Umno members had deserted party deputy president Muhyiddin and vice-president Shafie Apdal, as long as the duo continued to speak the truth, Malaysians would stand behind them in the fight for a better nation.
“Integrity that can’t be bought is the integrity that is based on the Rakyat’s concerns.
“You (Muhyiddin) deserve better. I deserve better. Malaysia deserves better. You give me hope that the gloomy days are about to end.”
He also hinted to the formation of Malaysia’s first “all inclusive bipartisan youth democratic lobby movement” that aims to pursue a better, more transparent and progressive nation.
This movement, said Syed, was backed by both Muhyiddin and Shafie.
