Water disruption in PJ, KL on March 29

Parts of Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur will experience water interruptions lasting 12 to 72 hours for replacement work to upgrade equipment.

KUALA LUMPUR:
As part of efforts to improve the water distribution system in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, replacement work to upgrade equipment will be carried out by Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) from 6am on March 29 until 2am March 30.

Syabas, in a statement here, said some parts of Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur will experience temporary water interruptions during the 20-hour replacement works.

However, the company said every effort will be undertaken to expedite the works.

The recovery of water supply to the affected locations may take 12 to 72 hours, depending on the distance from the reservoir.

Water supply in some parts of Kuala Lumpur will recover in 12 hours whereas recovery will take 24 hours to 72 hours in Petaling Jaya.
