AG Apandi to lead prosecution team in Lim case

Attorney-General Mohamed Apandi Ali will lead the prosecution team when Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is charged with corruption at the Sessions Court Thursday,

“InsyaAllah, I will lead the prosecution team tomorrow at the Penang Sessions Court,” he told Bernama.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Wednesday detained Lim and businesswoman Phang Li Koon, the former owner of a bungalow in Jalan Pinhorn.

Lim was detained at his office on the 28th Floor, Komtar at 5.45pm.

Phang was detained at 4.15pm at her office on the 6th Floor of Penang Garden.

Penang MACC said the two were arrested after receiving instructions from the Attorney-General’s Office to charge them in court tomorrow.
