Yesterday, PAS Islamic Propagation Bureau Chairman Hafez Sabri claimed Gomez was synonymous with a “sexy” image and her appearance here would tarnish the sanctity of Syawal that follows the holy month of Ramadan.
He also urged the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) to come out with an official stand on the matter besides pushing for Gomez to be barred from entering the country.
Gomez is set to perform at the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam next Monday.
