TMJ: Pendrive is mine, let me solve FAM matter

Johor Crown Prince says there are bigger cases that MACC has to resolve and it had better focus on those instead of alleged wrongdoings at FAM.

PETALING JAYA:
Johor Crown Prince (TMJ) Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim says the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) “seems so desperate” to investigate the Football Association of Malaysia’s (FAM) alleged leakages and wrongdoings.

TMJ, who also owns the Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) football club, also asked whether the MACC wanted to investigate FAM, or find out who gave him information on FAM’s wrongdoings.

“There are plenty of other bigger cases in the country that MACC is still not able to solve. Perhaps it’s better to focus on these unsolved cases,” he said in a statement on the Johor Southern Tigers official Facebook site.

“The information in the pendrive belongs to me. I will personally solve this issue and should i require any assistance from MACC, I will inform MACC.

“There is no need to make a big fuss regarding the matter.”

MACC had previously requested that TMJ surrender his information on FAM’s alleged wrongdoings, which he claimed was in his pendrive.

TMJ added that the matter did not need to be discussed further and told those not involved to keep out of it.

“Solve each of your debt problems. The problem with FAM is there are too many FAM fighters outside of FAM.

“For the time being, let me solve this issue with the relevant people.”
