Prime Minister Najib Razak had announced the project last week and said the urban forest project will be similar to the Hyde Park in London and Central Park in New York.
The target for the park’s completion is mid-2018 and will be connected to KL Sentral with pedestrian walkways.
About 6,000 trees will be planted on 66 acres of land in the heart of city.
Azman said the tract of land had an estimated value of RM2.1 billion and the park will be a Khazanah corporate social responsibility project.
