The Pandan MP said this in a brief statement today, in reply to Jamal claiming in his police report that Rafizi was one of the “sources” who had provided him with documents purportedly showing that electoral watchdog Bersih 2.0 had been infiltrated by the Islamic State (IS) militant group.
“I’ve never known Jamal, have never spoken to Jamal, have no relations with Jamal, have never exchanged blows with Jamal, and have never eaten Jamal’s ikan bakar,” he said.
“He (Jamal) is the biggest clown in Umno and every day, Umno leaders get headaches thinking of how to deal with this clown, who is becoming more irritating.”
Rafizi also questioned why so much media coverage is given to Jamal.
“Now he thinks that he’s a celebrity and we’re done for.”
Rafizi also dismissed any idea of initiating legal action against Jamal as “only mad people sue mad people”.
Earlier today, more than 50 Red Shirts supporters accompanied Jamal to the Bukit Aman federal police headquarters to hand in documents allegedly proving that Bersih 2.0 had been infiltrated by the IS.
Jamal, who is also Sungai Besar Umno chief, claimed he had received the information about a month ago, and alleged that Rafizi was one of his sources.
