“To me, PAS, PKR, DAP, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia and Amanah each have their political interests,” he told Perkasa members at the groups’ annual assembly at Stadium Titiwangsa.
However, Ibrahim stressed that Perkasa was not Umno’s lapdog, contrary to claims made by some parties.
He lamented that some Malays still supported DAP, which he said only sought to fight for the interests of one race.
When DAP was founded, it wanted to realise its ideal of a “Malaysian Malaysia” which he said clearly denied the rights of the Malays.
Perkasa would continue to defend Malay supremacy, he said.
Ibrahim also said he was proud that Perkasa leaders and members were not involved in the Bersih 5 and Red Shirts rallies yesterday.
He said the two rallies appeared to be a festival rather than a political protest.
Some 2,000 Perkasa members are attending the Perkasa meeting, which was opened by former information minister Zainuddin Maidin.
Last month, Bersih leader Maria Chin Abdullah was reported as saying that she did not mind if people viewed the rally as a carnival, while understanding the issues faced by the country.
