He said it was the privilege of Najib Razak as prime minister to use a private jet for official trips or holidays.

It only reflected the stupidity of the opposition when they questioned the rights of the prime minister to use the private jet, either for official or unofficial visits, he added.
“The safety standard operating procedures (SOP) for a prime minister include having bodyguards round the clock no matter where he is.

“So, when the prime minister goes for holiday, he is not holidaying with his children and wife only, but also has to bring along the bodyguards.

“Datuk Seri Najib Razak used to be a minister, deputy prime minister and is now a prime minister.

“He knows what he can and cannot do, so the opposition, don’t be so stupid,” he told reporters after a programme with his constituents in Padang Rengas at Kampung Tanah Merah Hall here today.

Prior to this, several opposition leaders had questioned Najib’s vacation in Australia with his family members late last year.

Nazri, who is also Padang Rengas MP, said the matter should not be exaggerated because recently there were some members of the opposition who boarded a private jet sponsored by a certain person.
