The man, who declined to be named, said this was despite an admission from the courier himself who entered the home after delivering a parcel and allegedly sexually assaulted his wife.
Malaysiakini reported the man as saying that when contacted over the phone, the courier apologised and later admitted his guilt in the presence of a company manager. The man said the courier was arrested after he lodged a police report.
However, the company would not say sorry despite promises from the customer relations manager that it would.
“I have been talking to their customer relations manager and yesterday they said they would come to us and make an apology,” the man was quoted as saying.
“I received a call from the company’s lawyer later saying no one will be coming with an apology … that this is not a company issue and it is just between me, my wife and the courier man, who was fired yesterday.”
The company also said it would “come after him with all their lawyers” if he pressed charges, he told Malaysiakini.
But the man said he would file a lawsuit against the company anyway, though his lawyer advised him to wait until next Wednesday as the courier has not yet been charged.
