KUALA LUMPUR: Police have detained a man identified as ‘Alia’ who was believed to have threatened to spread a video of his sex act with a GrabCar driver in Jalan Loke Yew here, on Thursday (April 6).
Ampang Jaya District Police chief ACP Hamzah Alias said the 24-year-old GrabCar driver had refused to give the suspect the RM1,000 he demanded after they had sex.
“The 28-year-old suspect has been detained and police are investigating the case,” he said in a statement, today.
Both the men met on Wednesday (April 5) at San Peng Flats in Jalan Pudu before agreeing to engage in sex.
According to Hamzah, the suspect demanded the money on the same day.
The suspect was remanded for four days from yesterday to help in the investigation under Section 506 of the Penal Code.
