The list of names was agreed to by all four members of PH – PKR, DAP, Amanah and PPBM – at its presidential council meeting at PPBM headquarters here today, opposition leader and PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail told a media conference.
However, no decision was reached on the issue of prime minister-designate, should the coalition win the coming 14th general election.
Responding to questions at the same media conference, PH secretariat chief Saifuddin Abdullah said the candidate for PM-designate needed to be discussed in “greater detail”.
PPBM president Muhyiddin Yassin declined to comment on the PM-designate issue or the leadership line-up, adding that the media should wait for the coalition’s official statement.
Wan Azizah said the presidential council meeting discussed all issues relevant to PH including its organisational structure.
“We got full agreement on several key decisions during the meeting and we will announce the top leadership line-up to be submitted to the RoS next week,” she said.
She expressed confidence that the top leadership would carry PH forward to bring positive changes to Malaysian politics.
Meanwhile, PPBM deputy president Mukhriz Mahathir rejected as fake an organisational chart currently in circulation that showed Dr Mahathir Mohamad as the PH chairman, Muhyiddin as president and jailed PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim as adviser.
“There is no leak (of the PH list). We have a list of the leadership line-up which is different from the one being circulated,” he said.
Apart from Dr Mahathir, Muhyiddin and Anwar, the fake list also showed Wan Azizah as deputy chairman and PKR deputy president Azmin Ali as PH deputy president.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and Amanah president Mohamad Sabu appeared on the list as vice-presidents.
