PETALING JAYA: Police are tracking down a motorcyclist allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident that injured a child.

Selangor traffic chief Supt Kamaludin Mohamad said although no report has been lodged over the alleged incident that took place near The Strand in Kota Damansara on June 8, police were in the midst of tracking down the suspect.

The Star had earlier reported that Facebook user Ash Halip had put up a post, which has since gone viral, urging the owner of a motorcycle bearing the licence plate WFM7450 to surrender to police immediately.

He had also uploaded photos of his friend’s child after the child was allegedly hit by the motorcyclist.

“Anyone with information on the case should contact the police hotline at 03-2052 9999 or visit the nearest police station immediately,” Kamaludin said.
