PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar said the reform agenda did not just target former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad but was also aimed at reforming national institutions and improving the national administration.
“Najib should do his research, read up on history and then make his comments,” she told a news conference at PKR headquarters here today.

Najib, campaigning in PKR’s stronghold of Permatang Pauh in mainland Penang yesterday, pronounced that “reformasi” had died because the movement was mobilised against Mahathir but PKR had made a U-turn and was now cooperating with its former foe.
The prime minister urged Permatang Pauh voters to also change and choose Barisan Nasional (BN) in the next general election.
“When reformasi is dead, we close the book on it and open a new one,” he added.
In response, Nurul urged Najib to make statements that were constructive and helpful to the people, and not merely to condemn the opposition.
Referring to a call by PAS for Mahathir to seek forgiveness from Anwar, the opposition leader’s daughter said national interest was a far more important issue.
“We don’t want to be trapped by a system that produces dictators.
“Let Najib be the last dictator. We want success for our ‘reformasi’ agenda to protect the people, and solve the economic and corruption crises as soon as possible,” she said.
