SHAH ALAM: Four suspects, including a woman, have been placed under remand for seven days until next Saturday for investigations into an alleged murder attempt and possession of firearms.

Selangor CID chief SAC Fadzil Ahmad said the suspects, aged between 22 and 35, were being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder and Section 36 of the Firearms Act 1960 for possession of imitation firearms.

They were arrested following an incident yesterday during which police were forced to fire several shots.

In the 2.30pm incident yesterday, at the car park area of a condominium in Section 14 here, two suspects driving a Toyota Vios repeatedly rammed into a police patrol car, with four policemen inside, in an attempt to escape.

This forced the police to fire several shots in self-defence.

A shot hit the right thigh of one of the suspects.

The other two suspects, including a woman, were later detained when police inspected the suspects’ rented condominium unit in Section 7.

The toy pistols and several mobile phones, believed to have been stolen, were found there.
