It is understood that the 15-metre long bridge across Sungai Air Kudung was damaged due to erosion caused by the fast-flowing river during the rainy season which started two weeks ago.
The bridge was mainly used by students from the two villages.
Chairman of the Perak Public Utilities, Infrastructure, Energy and Water Committee Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin said for now, the Public Works Department’s Bailey bridge would be used instead.
