Speaking during a get-together organised by Cuepacs in Sandakan today, Musa stressed the success enjoyed by Sabah was not due to him alone.
“This is an achievement by all of you public servants. It is the result of all your hard work, support, cooperation and commitment in implementing government policies.
“Without your support and hard work, our high level of achievement would not have been possible.
“As the state leader, I deeply appreciate and recognise the sacrifices made by all our public servants.”
Musa, who is also Sabah finance minister, said public servants are not only the implementers but also in a good position to give feedback on the performance and effectiveness of the state’s policies and grassroots programmes.
“Cuepacs can be a good platform for this,” he said. “I’ve been informed that Cuepacs always works closely with the State Public Service Department (JPAN).
“I’d like for us not only to continue working together but want to see this close cooperation and relationship to be strengthened through an annual meeting between Cuepacs and me as the chief of the state government.”
Musa said he believed the government and public servants were on the right track.
“We’re on the best platform to continue this success and progress,” he said.
“Public servants, not only at the headquarters but also at the district and sub-district levels, are our friends and teammates. I hope we’ll keep working together as a team.”
Cuepacs president Azih Muda, Sabah state secretary Sukarti Wakiman and Sabah federal secretary Nor Rizan Mohd Thani were present during the event, attended by more than 1,000 government servants.
Musa credits both state, federal civil servants for Sabah’s progress
