MARANG: Education Minister Maszlee Malik said he would make surprise visits to schools nationwide to identify the problems faced by them and find a solution for them.
He said contractors who were late in completing projects in schools would be subjected to strict action.
“The construction of the two-storey building at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seberang Marang has been overdue. We will monitor and ensure that all school projects will be accelerated within five years.
“All contractors need to be ready because I will show up anytime and anywhere. There are some states that have abandoned projects.
“They need to follow the original schedule and if they are late, action will be taken,” he told reporters after visiting SK Seberang Marang today.
