It is richly amusing that Dr S Subramaniam feels important enough to comment on any leader’s contributions and achievements in the history of our nation.
As an illegal occupier of the MIC president’s seat, Dr. Subramaniam has no legal or moral standing to issue such statements. History will record his fraudulent overthrow of the legally elected president G Palanivel, whose patronage allowed him to swiftly move up the MIC ranks.
History will mark Dr. Subramaniam’s incompetence in squandering an invaluable ministerial post that was reserved for the MIC.
He will be remembered for a very long time for having achieved or contributed nothing for the Indian community. The community will only see Dr. Subramaniam for his greed for power and the fraudulent means deployed to attain it.
He will also be remembered for destroying the MIC by creating a hugely damaging split in the party and the Indian community. His lust for power and selfishness have made him and the MIC the laughing stock in the Malaysian political arena.
Instead of becoming an exemplary model for upcoming leaders, Dr. Subramaniam has become an embarrassment to our community.
He is not qualified, in any way, to provide opinions on our past, present or future leaders. It is best that he step down without any further delay so as not to add to his besmirched history.
R. Ramanan is the former treasurer-general of the MIC
