PUTRAJAYA:
Riza Aziz, the stepson of former prime minister Najib Razak left the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters here at 6.40pm today following a third day of questioning by the anti-graft body.

This meant that he had been grilled for 23 hours by the MACC since he was summoned to appear at the MACC headquarters on Tuesday.

According to a MACC source, Riza is required to be at the MACC office again tomorrow at 10.30am.

Riza arrived at the headquarters today at 11.10am, accompanied by lawyer K. Kumaraedran.

Riza’s presence at the MACC on Tuesday was the first time that he had appeared publicly in Malaysia after he was named by the United States’ Department of Justice in relation to investigations on the 1MDB in 2016.

Riza’s questioning by MACC came almost a month after his mother Rosmah Mansor and Najib had their statements recorded by the anti-graft body.
