
Its executive director, Valerie Chan, said the e-hailing app was operational three months ago and currently has over 1,000 taxis registered on its platform, and some 1,500 customers using the service.
“The app was the brainchild borne from five taxi companies, which were keen to keep abreast of technological advancements and the changing business landscape.
“It was developed from a vision to provide fast, safe and convenient service to the public at the tap of a button.
“With the rise in ride-hailing service providers, we are concerned about the welfare of local taxi service providers.
“We hope the app will help them remain competitive,” he told reporters after the launch of the app today by minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nancy Shukri.
