HONG KONG: Fears about an extended series of interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve helped push Hong Kong stocks sharply lower on Thursday, in line with an Asia-wide sell-off.

The Hang Seng Index fell 1.68%, or 456.25 points, to 26,635.01 by the break.
