Nikkei opens lower after falls on Wall Street

The Nikkei 225 index was down 0.12% or 26.70 points at 22,814.42 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 1.14& or 2.48 points at 1,716.35.

TOKYO:
Tokyo’s benchmark Nikkei index opened slightly lower on Thursday after falls on Wall Street, with a stable yen offering some support to exporters.

The Nikkei 225 index was down 0.12% or 26.70 points at 22,814.42 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 1.14& or 2.48 points at 1,716.35.
